Ballet Northwest is launching its 2021-22 Annual Fund campaign. Donors at the $100 level and above have access to premium tickets!
October 2021
Dear friends of Ballet Northwest,
We are proud to have recently completed our 51st year and we couldn’t have done it without donor support. Thank you for being a part of BNW’s rich 51-year history. Because ticket sales were down during the pandemic, the financial support from our donors was crucial to continuing our programming.
Last year we kept our dancers dancing and our audience entertained with the premiere of our Nutcracker Film at the Skyline Drive-In. Our 2021 spring production of The Sleeping Beauty Film was finally back at the Washington Center with limited capacity and social distancing. Both films were streamed online as well. In August BNW dancers returned to live performance with the 10th annual Young Choreographers Showcase, featuring 15 diverse and exciting premieres choreographed by our dancers on stage at the Washington Center.
We are excited to announce a full season of live performances this year! The season includes The Nutcracker (December), Olympia Dance Festival (March), andSwan Lake (May). Our more than 60 company members, ages 12 and older, are excited to return to the stage and after the past year-and-a-half ballet continues to be a positive force in their lives – physically, emotionally, and socially.
As we begin this new season of live performances, Ballet Northwest is taking a leap of faith for both our performers and audience. As ticket sales are uncertain, we ask for your support with a donation to the Annual Fund. Your contribution will help us to provide quality shows, outreach in schools, master classes for local dancers, and scholarships for those in need. While BNW has prided itself on its financial and artistic strength through the years, with the dramatic lack of live performance ticket revenue during the last 17 months, your support remains critical to our continued success.
Thank you for your support. Please see the giving levels below. Annual Fund donors of $100 or more receive access to prime seats at our shows at the Washington Center! You can donate online here (add link) – recurring payment plans are available! Or, if you prefer, you can mail a check to Ballet Northwest, PO Box 2888, Olympia, WA 98507.
Thank you for your support!
