Participants must be eight years old before September 1, 2026. No previous dance experience is necessary for younger performers. Dancers from all studios are welcome to audition.
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 26:
- 1:30pm Company auditions ages 12 and up (Nutcracker call backs Sun. Sept. 27)
- 3:00pm Nutcracker Community Cast auditions ages 8-10 (non-company)
- 4:30pm Nutcracker Community Cast auditions ages 11+ (non-company, must have previous ballet experience)
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27:
- 4:00pm Nutcracker audition call-backs for dancers accepted into the Company
WHERE: Olympia Dance Center 1110 Jefferson St SE, Olympia, WA 98501
WHO: Dancers must be age 8 before Sept. 1 to audition for The Nutcracker. To audition for the Ballet Northwest Company, dancers must be age 12 before Sept. 1 and enrolled in at least two intermediate ballet classes a week at any studio. Company members perform in The Nutcracker as well as Don Quixote in May, 2027. No previous dance experience is necessary for cast members age 8-10 (ballet experience required for 11+.) Dancers from all studios are invited to audition.
REGISTRATION: All participants must pre-register online.
PARTICIPATION FEE (Family discounts, limited financial aid, and payment plans are available):
- Nutcracker Community Cast: $215
- BNW Company (includes Nutcracker): $545 (Select dancers may be invited to participate in other events such as Dance Festivals which may require additional fees.)
